Dynavox Group enters into an agreement to acquire RehaMedia in Germany

Dynavox Group AB (publ), the parent company of Tobii Dynavox and the global leader in assistive communication, has entered into an agreement to acquire all the shares of its reselling partner RehaMedia in Germany. This strategic decision will bring Tobii Dynavox closer to its customers in Germany, supporting people with disabilities to communicate more effectively. The transaction is expected to be completed within the coming half year.

Headquartered in Duisburg, RehaMedia is a provider of assistive communication solutions and services across Germany. Founded in 1994, RehaMedia has grown to a team of around 40 employees, strategically positioned throughout the country to serve a broad customer base.

Tobii Dynavox’s solutions represent the majority of RehaMedia’s revenue, reflecting a long-standing and successful partnership. RehaMedia reported revenues of approximately 7.2 million EUR in 2024. Dynavox Group will pay the current owner, Gamal Halaga, 5.8 million EUR in cash at closing, with a potential additional consideration after one year.

“RehaMedia has been a valued and reliable partner in Germany for many years, and we are delighted to welcome them into the Dynavox Group family,” said Nils Normell, President Europe and the rest of the world, Dynavox Group. “This acquisition reinforces our commitment to expanding our presence in key markets, and we’re excited to build on RehaMedia’s strong foundation to better serve our customers in Germany and empower more people with a voice.”

“Joining Dynavox Group is a natural evolution of our partnership,” said Gamal Halaga, CEO of RehaMedia. “We share a common mission and values, and this step will allow us to reach even more individuals in Germany with life-changing communication solutions. I look forward to a future where we grow together and make a lasting difference.”
